The growing demand from our research and production customers has led us to create a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bristol. Building effective customer relations will continue to be at the core of our business. We collaborate closely with our customers to understand their challenges in the fast-evolving compound semiconductor industry, ensuring we deliver etch and deposition process solutions that meet their standards.
Our new site will be a leading-edge laboratory, manufacturing and office environment for our colleagues, customers, and collaboration partners.
The building will comprise 143,000 sq. ft with an extensive additional fit-out. The new facility will include ISO 5 & 6 class application laboratories spanning 1,000m2 equipped with a complete suite of state-of-the-art wafer processing solutions and advanced characterisation/ metrology technologies.
This will allow us to continuously improve our systems and services for the next generation processes for the R&D and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) customers, delivering reliable and repeatable application processes.
Our new facility has achieved a very good BREEAM Rating as a result of the overall environmental assessment. The new site has be designed specifically with the goal to eliminate the use of fossil fuels and protecting natural resources, incorporating a range of energy-saving technologies. The use of air-source heat pumps and free cooling water extracted from the sprinkler tank have also been implemented.
We have fitted equipment that will enable us to recover and reuse heat from the building and harvest rainwater for use in the laboratory exhaust scrubbers. To further reduce our environmental impact, extensive arrays of solar panels has already been fitted into the roof and potentially enhanced the presence of solar panels into the car park. Further sustainability projects are being considered such as wind turbine.
