The Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Conference Travel Grant will provide up to $4000 financial support to an outstanding PhD student from the Americas that has conducted cutting edge research using systems from Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology and intends to present their research at a meeting in North America or South America before December 31, 2023 that addresses key advances associated with materials, processing, and interfaces.
PhD Students in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or a related discipline that are studying at an accredited University in North America or South America are invited to participate in this exciting program.
To participate in the Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Conference Travel Grant Program, applicants must submit a copy of an abstract that they prepared for submission to the conference of their choice, in accordance with the guidelines provided by the organizers of the conference that they are targeting.
The use of Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology systems must be a key element of research highlighted in the abstract and must not include any employees of Oxford Instruments as co-authors.

Abstracts that have already been submitted for consideration to a conference taking place in 2023 will be considered as long as the research will be presented before December 31, 2023.
Prior to the travel grant program deadline, the applicant must have received formal notification from the conference organizers related to the acceptance of their abstract for a presentation at the conference.
The awardee will receive up to $4000 in funding from Oxford Instruments to cover conference registration fees, roundtrip airfare, lodging, and meals related to participation in the conference of their choice. The 2023 Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology Conference Travel Grant awardee will be announced on October 31, 2023.
